We flew from Bob's airfield in 2010. We were there for the weekend and Bob let us keep the trike in his hangar over the weekend.
Bob's a top bloke, very welcoming and the runway was in great shape.
The video shows the conditions as they were then, so may not represent the current state of it.

Dropped in for Australia Day fly in. 13 aircraft with scones, coffee and cold drinks. Strip in amazing condition. $10 landing fee, $30 car hire, spots to park aircraft over night. Call Sarah to give her a heads up you’re coming in. They love having visitors, very warm and welcoming. If taking off on runway 27, depart up wind if possible to keep neighbours happy on crosswind leg.

Can’t recommend YPLI enough. Beautifully manicured grass runway and Bob welcomed us like long lost friends. His hospitality outstanding. He has a car that you can rent as well great for getting into Yamba. Gorgeous spot.

The airstrip is amazing and immaculate, in a beautiful location. Bob is delightful, met us on landing, offered a spot in the hangar for the night and gave us a lift to our hotel.. sometimes the planets align! He’s about to get a second courtesy car for use. Bob is 80 years young and loves the airstrip being used, so will welcome you in. We asked how much for the landing and he said $5.. we tipped him accordingly. Definitely a place to stop and say hi to Bob!
