Great stay at the Merino Motor Inn, new owners (Jonno)very accommodating and very happy to pick and drop off at airport. Make sure you book accommodation a couple of days ahead as town gets very busy, also book a meal at their restaurant. Merino Motor Inn 07 4625 3333.

Great refueling service from Julie at Precision Aviation included a lift into town to our lodging. (Australian Hotel) Peter from Australian Hotel dropped us back at airport on departure. St George is a friendly town with a nice vibe. If you’re there on a Thursday, Riversands Wines has a 5h tour of cotton farm and vineyard, including tasting and lunch, for $50 that I’d highly recommend.

What a great stop over..Jason the refuel was very helpful very easy going . One of the crop duster pilots helped me with the fuel. Great tie downs with wire rope and chains. No trouble getting in to town Jason dropped me off at the Australian hotel. Then Peter the manager organised one of the early morning cleaners to drop me back to the airport. Everyone very accommodating. Thanks.

Balonne River Motor Inn is ok to stay at, but manager is not keen on providing airport pick-up or return - did it under difference. Other places may be more welcoming.

Taxiway mid runway will not take you to the GA refuelling and parking, use the northern taxiway. Stayed at Jacaranda Country Motel, Johnathon and Julie-Anne England do pick ups (07) 4625 1011 and are only to helpful, great place to stay. Did the sunset river cruise great fun. Don’t forget to see the Emu Egg display.

Julie and Ben at precision aerial/Jones air were very helpful with unlocking the bowser and supplying Avgas. I called ahead the day before to confirm availability. Paid via eftpos, they were onsite (Saturday morning) and didn’t charge a call out fee.
